On May 24th 2008, come test your wooden spoon against some of the best cooks in Southwest Louisiana!
This competition is open to businesses, individuals,
or nonprofit organizations who have a desire to show off their cooking skills. There will
be prizes for first, second and third place winners, so be sure to use your best secret family recipe!
The entry fee is $25. Tables are
available for rent at $5.00 each, or you can bring your own.
Set-up is from 9 - 10 A.M., and cooking
is from 10 A.M. - noon, with judging
to follow.
All cooking must be done on-site, so bring your equipment, because no
equipment will be provided by the Henning Cultural Center except for
basic power requirements.
All proceeds from this cook-off go to the Brimstone Historical Society.

Our mission is preserving and enriching the culture of Southwest Louisiana. We accomplish this by housing a permanent exhibit on the history of the sulfur industry and how it has played a role in developing the city of Sulphur, Louisiana.
